My work as your Member of Parliament is divided between Westminster and Dwyfor Meirionnydd. My time in Westminster involves questioning ministers, raising issues in the House of Commons, scrutinising laws and taking part in debates and votes. Whilst in Dwyfor Meirionnydd, I’m out and about every week, knocking on doors, attending community events and holding regular advice surgeries. Most of my staff are based in the constituency to make sure we’re available to handle casework and enquiries raised by residents.

Parliamentary Responsibilities

I am Plaid Cymru Parliamentary Spokesperson on: Education, Health, Home Affairs, Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Women & Equalities, Local Government and Energy & Natural Resources. I’m also a member of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee.

Early Day Motions (EDMs)

Early Day Motions (EDMs) are formal motions submitted for debate in the House of Commons. EDMs allow MPs to draw attention to an event or cause and demonstrate the extent of parliamentary support for a particular point of view. MPs register their support by signing individual motions. Click on Early Day Motions to see which EDMs I have recently signed.

I take part in a number of Parliamentary debates, particularly those which directly affect my constituents in Dwyfor Meirionnydd. For a full list of my most recent contributions in the House of Commons click on My Latest Speeches
